They have remained an iconic item since the 1930s and have effortlessly made their way through the 2000s. Even though they were alienated from the scene for a decade or so, they easily manage to rise back up to the fore. So for our readers who have only recently caught the fashion fever, shoulder pads are basically a fabric-covered paddling which are inserted on the shoulder area of jackets and/or jumpers to create an illusion of having broader shoulders.
